The original carved glass diffusers for the interior lighting at Hill Auditorium were nearly all broken or missing. During its historic lighting restoration project, SLALCO developed a process for deeply etching and/or carving ornate patterns into opal and etched clear acrylic to prevent future breakage in a university setting.
